Thrivent Builds with
Habitat for Humanity is a $125 million alliance between Habitat for Humanity International and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. The
four-year, $125-million commitment by Thrivent Financial, includes plans to construct hundreds of additional Habitat homes across
the country each year, to engage hundreds of thousands of volunteers in Habitat for Humanity builds, to promote short-term Habitat
home-building trips abroad and to provide large grants to measurably improve substandard housing in specific neighborhoods.
This initiative will provide 65 percent of the construction costs for the two Chino homes. Area Thrivent chapters and Lutheran congregations
will raise an additional 10 percent while our local affiliate is working to raise the remaining 25 percent.
Construction is scheduled to begin with a May 17th groundbreaking and the homes will be completed by the end of the year. Click here for a flyer about the 5-17-08 groundbreaking ceremony and Fundraiser Pancake Breakfast.
